It’s been quite a long while since I’ve been truly present here. Life has its own rhythm and sometimes it moves far too fast, too intensely for me to pause and express myself in what I like to call “my virtual-visual diary”. But I’ve come to accept that it’s okay not to be consistent here. In the meantime, I’ve been living – experiencing life in all its contrasts, its blessings and its shadows. You know how I am… I need to feel everything deeply, even when it’s hard.
At this moment, I find myself in a place of healing both physically and spiritually. One thing I’ve learned for certain: I feel most whole when I’m in nature, far from the noise of civilization and closer to the Source…the true home of all living beings.
Recently, I had the privilege of visiting a place my friends discovered, a secret haven they asked me to keep hidden. And the moment I arrived, I understood why. It was perfect. There was a crystal-clear river flowing gently, surrounded by trees, smooth stones and healing mud. I immersed myself in the water and it felt as if all the pain both of body and soul was being washed away. Water truly is the most powerful element for cleansing. I could almost feel my cells renewing themselves with every ripple.
Afterwards, I lay upon the warm rocks to dry, grounding myself as the sun caressed my skin and the rustling leaves above me formed a sacred melody.
When my little ritual was complete, I began piecing myself back together. I dressed, did my makeup -another form of ceremony for me, a way of reconnecting with my Feminine Energy. Then I took a few photos, capturing this sacred moment, this memory that I know will stay with me forever.
