Hello everyone,
Today I am excited to share the full album of the last photoshoot I took for Halloween. This year I chose to be “Merida” from “Brave”. I’ve been thinking to dress up like her for many years now since she is part of the list of the redhead characters. I hope you like it!

“I am Merida, first-born descendant of Clan DunBroch, and I’ll be shooting for my own hand!”

This is the first time I use contact lenses in my life! So, thank you Merida for making me do this! It was really fun to see myself with blue eyes but I also have to admit that lenses are not comfortable at all! Just another thing in the list of “Things I do for ART”.

I was wearing this hooded sweater dress by Sure Design Clothing since it had the perfect color to match Merida’s dress.

I also used this vintage big belt that I found in my mom’s closet to hold the arrows and this handmade bow I have bought years ago from two indigenous artists.

The lovely Ivy Cuffs I’m wearing are handmade by @foxesandravens and they make me dive into the forest world every time I put them on! Love at first sight!

“Some say our destiny is tied to the land, as much a part of us as we are of it. Others say fate is woven together like a cloth, so that one’s destiny intertwines with many others. It’s the one thing we search for, or fight to change. Some never find it, but there are some who are led.”

A big THANK YOU goes to:
• MUA: Klejdja Shypheja for helping make this character come to life!
Check her out on tik tok for make up ideas!
• Photographer: Rei Ferguson Bengu for the amazing pictures and edits!!

“There are those who say fate is something beyond our command. That destiny is not our own. But I know better. Our fate lives within us. You only have to be brave enough to see it.”

Happy Halloween and Blessed Samhain!
Love,
Kurisu
